As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide various services to promote community inclusion and an enhanced quality of life. Your role will be to assist our individuals in their daily routine, daily or weekly activities, and community integration. Depending on the needs of our individuals, you may provide assistance with:
- Independent living skills
- Health care coordination
- Medication administration
- Personal care and behavioral development.
You may be required to transport your individual in your own vehicle to doctor appointments, grocery store, church, and various community outings. You may have an assigned location or float from site to site.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- High School Diploma or GED

- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stoop, push, reach and walk for long periods of time

Starting Rate of Pay: $15.90 per hour/ Plus PTO time and Health Reimbursement Account for full time employees.

We are hiring a Team Lead!
Job Summary:
Working under the direction of the Residential Program Director / Program Support Coordinator the Lead Staff provides leadership, oversight and coordination for the residential site. Lead Staff are responsible to complete and monitor daily and monthly documentation, assist with gathering information for assessments of each individual, coach and coordinate staff and make sure that the house is run efficiently and safely. The Lead Staff must support and value MMI Residential’s Mission, Vision and Core Values as well as foster these values to each MMI Residential employee.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and help facilitate positive relationships, community involvement, spiritual growth and development. Oversee proper implementation of all individual plans and goals.
- Train any new staff on each individuals PCISP, Healthcare Issues, Behavioral Disorders and household procedures. Complete On The Job Checklist with each new employee and turn into the Program Support Coordinator.
- Schedule and coordinate medical, health, dental or any other appointments for individuals served. Lead Staff will make sure that (they or someone else) are scheduled to take the individual to their appointment.
- Provide oversight on meal planning and grocery shopping.
- Transport individuals as needed on community outings, work, appointments and other activities, as well as any situation that may arise.
- Monitor the master staff schedule as determined by the Scheduler. Make sure all team members are filling their assigned shifts and arriving on time.
- Responsible to resolve scheduling conflicts including helping to find a replacement for a call-off. Make sure that staff notifies the office of any scheduled or unscheduled absences.
- Notify office and nurse when an individual is going to be away with family or other event.
- Coach and mentor all team members working to build a solid team. Seek the heart of team members to empower and develop their skill levels and confidence. It is the expressed desire of MMI to create a positive environment in every part of our ministry.
- Participate in the hiring of new staff by conducting an on location 2nd interview.
- Participate in audits as they arise and are required.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with other Lead Staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all state and agency regulations, policies and procedures for yourself and your team members. Supervise the administration of medications without errors. Oversee a clean and healthy living environment for each individual in residential site.
- Complete all Quality Site Checklists, Quality assessments & reports, and Monthly Mandatory Drills. Submit documentation to the Program Support Coordinator by the 10th of Every Month.
- Individual Financial Recording, Tracking and Budgets; if MMI is Rep Payee for an individual within the home. Team Lead will assist the person with developing a monthly budget and remaining within their budget. Team Lead will assist with recording all transactions with the person in the Financial Binder as well as ensuring proper receipts are present for each transaction. Team Lead will reconcile the bank statement with the person helping them to understand where their money is going.
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. One-year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. All applicants must be able to successfully pass a federal and state background check as well as a drug/alcohol screening.

Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, be a positive team player and maintain a positive attitude at all times. Must be able to possess the skills to plan, organize, problem solve and resolve conflicts when they arise. Must be able to provide oversight on healthy meal planning and shopping. Must be able to work with Residential Program Director/Program Support Coordinator to complete performance reviews.
